Remote Check 1.0 Minimum System Requirements: - 486SX CPU with 4 MB RAM (12 MB for NT) - 1 MB free disk space - Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, or NT 4.0 - Properly installed modem and telephone service, or an unused serial port for direct connection Remote AMI Instrument Requirements: - AMI Model 184, 185, 186, 134, 135, or 136 - Installed RS-232 (or RS-422) option - An optional modem configured for auto-answer and connected to telephone service Remote Check is a Win32-based application for remotely checking AMI Model 184, 185, 186, 134, 135, and 136 instruments. Remote Check requires either a direct serial connection, or a direct-dial telephone line and a modem, for each targeted instrument. If checking is performed by the host computer via telephone, the host computer will also require a modem. The modem speeds may be as low as 2400 baud, but 9600 baud is recommended. Higher-speed modem connections are not required or necessary. Features: - Provides a customized list of various AMI models as defined by the user. - Queries the instrument for the present level measurement and alarm states. - Allows quick visual check of the last level measurement and alarm states for each instrument without establishing a dial-up link. - Provides the ability to send new instrument settings, or query for the present settings. - Uses the standard TAPI interface provided by the operating system.
